  • Cs3 presented and demonstrated the MANAnet Technology at the DDOS Technology Conference organized by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Joint Task Force Central Network Operations in Arlington Virginia, December 18-19, 2001.

• Cs3 at ISPCON (October 2001)

  • If you visited Booth 3122 at ISPCON 2001 in Las Vegas, you would have been
    able to see the official unveiling of Cs3's Reverse Firewall device. Demonstrations
    and product literature were provided at the venue.
    

• Cs3 at Cal-IT 2001 (October 2001)
  • Cs3 presented at Cal-IT 2001, the 6th Annual California Information Technology Investment and Partnering Forum, in London. Cs3 is one of only about 50 companies chosen to participate by the State of California, International Trade and Commerce Agency.

• New Product Stops DDoS Attacks Before They Leave a Network
  • Under its MANAnet^TM brand, Cs3 has launched the Reverse Firewall^TM, a product that helps ISPs, universities, and other infrastructure access providers to guard their networks from being co-opted into successful DDoS attacks. • Cs3 Presents at DARPA Principal Investigators' Meeting
  • Cs3's MANAnet technologies were presented to a community of network security researchers who are Principal Investigators of projects sponsored by the Fault Tolerant Networks Program at DARPA. A copy of the briefing maybe obtained at the DARPA FTN Meeting Site or by contacting Cs3.

• Formation of DDoS Defense Test Consortium (June 2001)
  • Cs3 has formed a MANAnet DDoS Defense Test Consortium to test, refine, validate, and adopt Cs3's innovative defenses against Distributed Denial of Service attacks. The Consortium draws from organizations in the commercial, government, and research sectors. Tests are currently ongoing on Cs3's internal networks and will soon be extended to the sites of Consortium members and over the real infrastructure.

• Venture Forum (April 2001)
  • Cs3 made a presentation at the Southern California Technology Venture Forum on April 17th, 2001. It was one of 16 companies selected from around 100 companies that applied.

• White Paper Addresses Infrastructure Issues in DDoS Defense
  (March 2001)
  • Cs3's white paper, Towards a More Secure and Robust Internet summarizes the company's philosophy that the best way, in the long run, to deal with many security problems, such as Denial of Service attacks (DoS attacks), is to buckle down and do what must be done -- eliminate the major holes in the public Internet infrastructure by addressing vulnerabilities in its architecture and protocols.

• White Paper Proposes IP Changes to Eliminate Source Forgery (February 2001)
  • Cs3 is proposing Path-enhanced IP (PEIP), a change to Internet protocol that would eliminate one of Internet's most persistent and pervasive security problems. Details can be found in our white paper, Changes to IP to Eliminate Source Forgery.

• CALTIP Award (January 2001)
  • Cs3 is the proud recipient of a State of California Technology Investment Partnership (CALTIP) grant to conduct business development activities for its Internet product suite. This is the latest validation of the company's mission to build Internet infrastructure products for security and robustness.
