Collabrium ®
Collabrium is the next generation of Web-based collaborative software. It lets organizations unleash the power of groups to work together in different ways as appropriate for their tasks. Key features of Collabrium are now patented.

The innovative features of the Collabrium are as follows:

  • Collabrium uses events as the basis to coordinate groups in getting useful work done.
  • Collabrium is organized as a real-world conference center.
  • Intuitive user interface makes Collabrium easy to use.
  • Group participants can interact in real-time or over a long period of time as appropriate for their tasks.
  • Group participants can share documents with others as they work together.
  • Each group can set up and manage its own objectives and agenda interactively.

The different rooms of Collabrium have functions that are based upon their roles in real life. This makes it very convenient for users to participate in different collaborative activities simply by switching from one room to another. The rooms of Collabrium are organized as below:

Collabrium Library
The Library is used to organize all sorts of downloadable reference materials related to the specific meeting you logged into when entering Collabrium.

The Library offers:

  • 4 different shelves are offered in the Library to help organize the information in the library.
  • Both the captions and specific contents of each shelf are determined by the participants.
  • Any participant can upload a document for others in the group to see instantaneously!
  • Arrival of a new document is notified to you, so you can go to the library to peruse it.
Collabrium Theater
The Theater is used to provide streaming content over the Web. Video, audio, and other streaming media can be used in this room. In the theater, the following features are offered:
  • 3 major shelves are offered to organize the media content in the theater.
  • Captions and titles are supplied by the meeting coordinator; for example, someone teaching a course.
  • The theater can accommodate heavy content that is streamed (rather than downloaded entirely) from a Web server.

Collabrium Meeting Room
The Meeting Room is where participants come face to face with one another. By definition, it is a public space, allowing for dynamic interaction. It is also a place where one can see who else is attending the meeting at a given time.

The meeting room offers:

  • Avatars for each user that are chosen by the user to represent them inside the software.
  • Ability to create and manage agendas and checklists dynamically for the group. The meeting coordinator is the only one authorized to modify the agenda, but participants can follow along.
  • Ability to chat with other meeting participants, or instant message a specific meeting participant.

Collabrium Office

The Collabrium Office is a personal space intended for users to customize their meeting characteristics or set up meetings:

  • Users choose their own avatars in their office.
  • Users can create meetings, and modify the participant lists for the meetings they are coordinating.
  • Special users, called administrators, can create new user accounts through this space

Collabrium Lounge
The Lounge is an area for light interactions between participants. It is intended to be a region in which no interactions are recorded, but access is provided to recreational and entertainment material.
  • The Lounge offers a set of URLs that people can visit.
  • Participants can interact without reservation that their conversation will be tracked.
